September 9, 2009 is an important day for the department of Civil Engineering as it marked the start of Civil engineering association named ExploCiviZ. Er. Georgekutty T. K, Retired Superindent Engineer, Judicial Buildings, Central Public Works Department inaugurated the Association. The chief Guest motivated the students with his enlightening inaugural address
Civil Engineering department association conducted oneday seminars, on Application of Geo informatics in Civil Engineering, Recent Trends in Civil Engineering , Short Term Courses in Total Station etc.
The STTP hosted by the department in December 2011 on Recent Advancements in Civil Engineering , had full assistance from the students association.
Under the banner of Civil Engineering Association, the students of the department organized ‘OFF BRIDGE’ an inter college Civil Engineering Fest which had a successful participation from many colleges in Kerala On September 7, 2013 the association was renamed as Association of Civil Engineers, at an august function during which the cover to the department was unveiled.
