The Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory provides comprehensive field investigation and laboratory testing services to support foundation design, infrastructure development, and academic research. Our consultancy services cater to both internal institutional needs and external clients including industry, government agencies, and private developers. The lab is equipped with advanced instrumentation for accurate determination of physical engineering properties of soil, and all tests are conducted in accordance with relevant IS Codes. With expertise in both field and laboratory geotechnics, the lab plays a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective foundation solutions.

Survey

The faculty and lab assistants in the Survey Laboratory of the department are engaged in the consultancy services offered in the field of survey. All the survey works are carried out using Total Station

Total Station Classes

Department is offering certified courses on total station (during the months of May to July) for students in and outside the campus at affordable fees.

Calibration Repair and Maintenance of Lab Equipments

We undertake calibration, repair and maintenance of All Survey Equipments And Civil Engineering Lab Equipments

Mr. V.T. Thomas, of the Strength of Materials Laboratory, is in charge of these services and he had done the calibration, repair and maintenance of lab equipments at many academic and government institutions as part of the consultancy services of the department

Building Consultancy and Other Works

Any Civil Engineering works starting from planning to estimation, through design, drafting etc will be done by the department for various Government and Non Government bodies on request. We provide design consultancy service for:

Material Testing

The Material Testing Lab at Department of Civil Engineering AJCE, is well equipped for the conduct of Various Tests On Civil Engineering Materials.

Apart from the tests on building materials, fresh concrete and hardened concrete. Mix design for highly strong and workable concrete ( for special purposes) are also done under the supervision of faculty members who have expertise in concrete mix design
