Next Reality Lab Inaugurated by
Dr Bindu R (Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education & Social Justice, Govt of Kerala)

Next Reality Lab

INTRODUCTION

As the world progresses into an advanced one, technologies that expand the possibilities of human thinking, creation and experience are high in demand. The combined technologies of Augmented and Virtual Realities are highly effective in building custom end-to-end solutions for one and all, encompassing all spheres of life.

Augmented Reality

Augmented reality overlays digital content and information onto the physical world creating a feeling of mutual existence. AR opens up new ways for devices to be helpful throughout the day by letting one experience digital content in the same way they experience the world. It lets one search things visually, simply by pointing the camera at them. It can put answers right where the questions are by overlaying visual, immersive content on top of one’s real world.

Augmented Reality

Virtual Reality is a computer-generated simulation of an alternate world or reality, and is primarily used in 3D movies and in video games. Virtual reality creates simulations—meant to immerse the viewer—using computers and sensory equipment such as headsets and gloves. Apart from games and entertainment, virtual reality has also long been used in training, education, and science.
