The yardstick for measuring the developments of a nation is the number of automobiles it produces. India is a developing country and its automobile sector is fast growing. Most of the Automobile major manufacturers have established their production units/assembly units in India. Even though there are occasional slumps in the automobile field, there is no doubt that Indian automotive sector is growing. The job market for qualified automobile engineers is also ever increasing. The University curriculum may not be in tune with the demands of the industry, but the Department of Automobile Engineering is ready with add on courses to satisfy the demands. Course on Automobile Electronics, Engines and Chassis design, Engine and Vehicle testing etc. are some of the courses to be offered besides the already hot cake courses like CAD, CNC machine programming etc. Students are requested to contact their class teachers for further information.
The world has shrunk into a global village mainly because of the terrific advances in electronics, be it technology, communication or appliances. Anything and everything we use and rely on, has an electronics component. As a technology of great significance now, the broad spectrum of subjects taught during the course aims at keeping the students abreast of the latest of technologies.
Educational institutions are the training centers for Leadership. Currently there is a shortage of real leaders. Creating a sense of responsibility and taking the initiative to lead is the way to become a good leader. People who are flexible, creative and those who realize that the world is fast changing and needs to keep pace, will always be successful. In an ever changing world, the habit of unlearning & relearning, and relinquishing prejudices would help us to adapt ourselves to any situation. Our actions are guided by our perceptions, which form the basis of our emotions, attitudes, judgments and choices. For accurate perception, we need to listen and understand others viewpoints. Right perceptions, nurture the right attitude to solve problems and take wise decisions. No professional can acquire the skills of a peak performer without constant willingness to access, explore, examine and improve his practices. We should create a family atmosphere wherever we are. Think, plan and work for the long term benefits of the society than for temporary individual benefits. We mould our students to reach the societal expectations, by imparting training beyond the curriculum and through constant monitoring and support by the highly motivated and qualified faculty, who demonstrate team work & human values with professional etiquette.
I wish all of you to exceed the expectations of your well-wishers. I take this opportunity to congratulate and thank all the people behind this noble venture.
With warm greetings and best wishes.
