The Association consists of all faculty members in the department as well as the students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of the branch. It serves as a forum for the students to interact with the real time industrial situations. Guest lectures and seminars are arranged regularly and the members are greatly benefited. The Association encourages students to prove their worth through the annual technical and cultural festival ASEATIC. ECE Association was the first that came up with the branch magazine ZEALOUS.

Training on PIC Microcontrollers was conducted for the faculties and final year students by Bitsforge Solutions, Ernakulum.
28th February 2014:National Science Day Celebrations
National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on 28 February 1928. ECE Department celebrated the science day. Mr. C.P.John(Member of Kerala State Planning Board) delivered a talk on the topic Fostering Scientific Temper, the theme of this year’s science Day. Rev.Dr. Mathew Chandrankunnel (Professor of Philosophy of Science, Sceince and Religion, theology of Science at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Christ University, Bangalore) delivered a talk on the topic C V Raman and his contributions. Prof S.Sivadas (Chief Editor, Labour India Publications,Kottayam) interacted with the students on the topic The magical World of Science. Science exhibition, Science Quiz and a debate completion for students were also conducted.
27-31st January 2014: Lab VIEW training
Training on LabVIEW software was conducted by Trident Tech Labs, Bangalore for the faculties. The trained faculties are selected for taking classes in the LabVIEW academy.
17th October 2013: Inauguration of Wireless and Optical Communication Society (WOCS)
ECE Department along with National Instruments organized the inauguration of wireless and optical communication society by Mr.J.Visweswaran, Accademic Technical Consultant, National Instruments India. This society mainly focused to promote research in wireless and optical communication domains.
5th October 2013: Inauguration of e-AWEC (e-Awareness Wing of Electronics and Communication)
This is a new venture of ECE department which aims at promoting awareness on the various aspects and challenges concerning the electronic field. It is inaugurated by Fr.Davis Chirammel, (Founder of ACTS and Kidney federation of India) and delivered a talk on the importance of organ donation. The talk was very impressive to understand the importance of organ donation.
14-17th August: AZURE
AZURE is the Intercollege Techno Cultural fest conducted by AJCE. Dept of ECE conducted robowar, mud race, paper presentation, robotics workshop and circuit debugging. More than 50 participants from various college south india were participated in the events.
4-6th June 2013ICMiCR-13: International Conference on Microelectronics, Communication and Renewable Energy
Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally has been organizing an International Conference yearly under the banner Annual International Conference on Emerging Research Areas (AICERA). The third conference in the AICERA series will be held during 4-6 June 2013, organized by the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of the college. The focal theme of the International Conference is ‘Microelectronics, Communication and Renewable Energy’ (AICERA 2013: ICMiCR). Around 700 papers were received and 200 papers were selected for the presentation. Prof. Chris Rodgers (Seneca College, Canada), Dr. Sameer Bataineh (Dean, College of Information Technology , UAE) T.P. Sreenivasan (Vice-Chairman and Executive Head Kerala State Higher Education Council ), Dr. A.V. George (Vice Chancellor M G University) were the chief guests. More than 200 participants around the globe attended the conference.
6th April 2013: LIVEWIRE
LIVEWIRE13 was the department fest conducted on April 6th. The main programs were robo soccer, robo stunt, paper presentation, network gaming, circuit debugging, treasure hunt. More than 100 participants from various college South India were participated in the events.
3-16th May 2012: SDP on Design of Intelligent System
Department of ECE hosted a staff development program on Design of Intelligent Systems. It was sponsored by AICTE.50 participants from South India were attended the program.
27-28th September 2011: Robotryst: Robotics Workshop
A two day Robotics workshop was organized by ECE Department in association with Robosapiens Technologies and E-cell,IIT Kharagpur. Around 200 students participated.
15th September 2011: Engineers Day Celebrations
Engineer’s Day is celebrated in India on September 15 in honor of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who was born on the day in 1860. The Engineers day was celebrated din the college by ECE department by conducting various programs. Mr. Jaya (Sr. Vice president, IBS Technologies) was the chief guest. Various competitions for the students and a project exhibition were organized.
