‘Jyothirgamaya’ — Lead me to the light. This meaningful programme sets the tone for a fulfilling academic life. Tailored for the students of B.Tech, BCA, BBA and Integrated MCA, it is a two-week-long journey into college culture, values, academic expectations and personal development.
Through a carefully designed series of sessions, Jyothirgamaya 2026 ensures that students are not only academically prepared but also emotionally and socially equipped to thrive in the new phase of their lives.
Getting a head start
To help new engineering students adapt to the demands of technical education, we are offering two non-credit bridge courses.
Universal Human Values – I & NASSCOM Technologies
Foundations of values-based living alongside an industry-aligned introduction to core technologies.
Mathematics Bridge Course
Strengthening the mathematical foundation essential for first-year engineering studies.
What to know before you arrive
Class Timing
8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Lunch Break: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Students are expected to be seated in their classrooms by 8:40 AM sharp.
Stationery Requirements
All necessary items — notebooks, pens, engineering drawing instruments, calculators, etc. — are available at the College Store.
On-Campus ATM Facilities
ATMs of South Indian Bank and Federal Bank are available. Carrying large amounts of cash is not advised.
Hostel Allotment
Students must bring personal essentials while occupying their allotted rooms. For more details, visit the AJCE Hostel Website.
Dressing for campus
- Formal or semi-formal shirts with trousers or jeans
- Collared T-shirts are permitted
- Closed footwear such as shoes or sandals
- Sleeveless T-shirts, shorts, ripped jeans
- Clothing with inappropriate prints
- Salwar kameez, churidar, kurti with pants, or jeans
- Modest tops with sleeves
