About International Conference on Advanced Nanomaterials for Sustainability (ICANS-2024)

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (Autonomous), Kanjirappally (AJCE), Kottayam Dt, Keralahas been organizing International Conferences on Emerging Research Areas since 2011. Amal Jyothi Centre for Nanoscience and Technology (ACeNT), Department of Basic Science, and Department of Chemical Engineering of AJCE is organizing ICANS-2024 in partnership with James Cook University, Australia and, Dept of Polymer Technology, Gdansk University of Technology Poland, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana

About AJCE

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (Autonomous), Kanjirappally (AJCE) has established itself as a benchmark of excellence in technical higher education, research, innovative student projects and entrepreneurship. Founded in 2001 by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally, AJCE is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. Amal Jyothi is the first new generation engineering college in Kerala to secure the prestigious NBA accreditation to prime departments and the first engineering college to have NAAC accreditation with ‘A’ grade.
The main features of the College comprise world-class infrastructure, top-flight faculty, high pass percentage, excellent placement record, outstanding entrepreneurship, and unique skills centers. Amal Jyothi is a mega complex of 16.5 lakh sq.ft. built-up area overlooking the busy Kanjirappally-Erumeli stretch of the Kottayam-Sabarimala state highway. The campus has 610 Mbps internet connectivity with WiFi. The College offers B.Tech Programmes in ECE, CSE, AD, CY, IT, ME, EEE, CE, ME (AU), CH, FT and MME, M.Tech in highly specialized areas under the departments of ECE, CSE, EEE, CE, CHE & ME, MCA in two streams and Ph.D in Basic Sciences and Engineering.
Amal Jyothi Center for Nanoscience and Technology (ACeNT) was established in 2012 for fostering research and development activities in various areas of Nanotechnology and allied areas. Several funded projects from DST, DRDO, KSCSTE, KTU, AICTE and ANERT have been successfully implemented at the Center. Guidance of students at the Doctoral, Master’s and B. Tech level is a prime activity of the Center. ACeNT has also established research collaborations with several institutes in India and abroad.

Aims and Scope

ICANS - 2024 aims at the creation of an avenue for exchange of novel ideas and open discussion on the recent advances in nanotechnology and nanomaterials. Nanomaterials has revolutionized all facets of life and contributing towards a sustainable society and environment. Thus the conference focusses on emphasizing the recent advances in interdisciplinary research on processing, morphology, structure and properties of nanostructured materials and nanocomposites and their applications in various fields. The conference will bring together a panel of highly accomplished experts in the fields of Nanomaterials and Nanocomposites. Talks will encompass basic studies and applications and address topics of novel issues, problems, and breakthroughs in Nanostructured materials and Nanocomposites. It features keynote addresses, plenary sessions, invited talks and contributed lectures focusing on specific tenets of nanostructured materials. A Young Researchers Meet also is arranged as part of the programme and. award will be given to the best Young Researcher. One of the major International meetings dedicated to advanced nanomaterials, ICANS will be extremely useful to researchers in this field as people with diversified backgrounds are expected to attend the conference and make the event truly interdisciplinary.
