About the FDP

This FDP instigates academicians to the core concepts of Nature Inspired Machine Learning Techniques which can promote the research activities and innovation perspective. This perspective will further assist the faculties to promote new optimization concepts to the students and in turn further encourage students to take up research as their future endeavours.

Target Groups

This FDP is interdisciplinary and open to all faculty members from engineering colleges affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.

Objectives

Nature-inspired algorithms are a set of novel problem-solving methodologies and approaches derived from natural processes.

  • To dive into the principles of Nature-inspired computations which are commonly recognized optimization techniques to instantiate the research related activities in faculties.
  • To delve into the optimal solutions to a wide spectrum of computational problems provided by the Nature-Inspired Machine Learning techniques.
  • Faculty should be able to deliver relevant insights of these techniques to the students as well for solving complex problem situations.
  • To motivate faculty to appreciate Nature-inspired algorithms as a novel problem-solving approach which is derived from natural processes.
