Eicher Centre for Automobile Technology

In a first-of-its-kind venture for an engineering college in Kerala, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has signed an MOU with the globally renowned VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECVL) — a joint venture between the Volvo Group of Sweden and Eicher Motors Ltd., India — and started a Centre for Automobile Technology. The Centre is named Amal Jyothi College of Engineering – Eicher Center for Automobile Technology (ACECAT).

The Centre familiarises students with the latest automobile technology covering scientific ways of repair, maintenance, and overhauling of commercial vehicles, and exposure to workshop operations and Customer Service management. VECVL trains the trainers, conducts regular follow-up programmes for faculty, provides study materials and training equipment. The course blends theory and practical sessions, and VECVL provides internship to students at their dealerships across Kerala.
