About the STTP
The Objective of Engineering Education is to equip the students with skills needed for the smooth functioning of the society. Now-a- days with the increase in the number of centres for Engineering Education, we seem to drift away from the actual ideology. The NBA accreditation focuses on this concept. The aim of the accreditation process is to bring out the best in students by monitoring them constantly by assessing their activities and giving them feedback by measuring their activities right from the time of joining the course to completion. The measurement of outcome continues even after the student leaves the college to ensure that the declared program outcomes have been effectively imparted to the students.
A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of implementing education by faculty. Our education system is undergoing a change as announced by the Higher Education Council of India and the National Research Foundation through the NEP. This STTP is focused on making the faculty empowered for an outcome-based education with new pedagogical approaches to convert research projects to products and thus bring out the best in students. The entire objective of the STTP is covered in the three phases. An Introduction to Outcome Based learning and the methods to achieve the Program Outcomes was presented by eminent and experienced resource persons in Phase 1 which was conducted from October 19th to 24th. The phase 2 of this STTP focussed on NEP and accreditation procedures which was conducted from November 16th to 21st. The Phase 3 of the STTP focuses on 'The Need for Modern Tool Usage in Engineering Education'.
