The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is the authoritative body for Chemical Engineers in matters pertaining to the academics, research, and industry. The Institute has been providing the forum for networking of Chemical Engineering professionals and is instrumental in providing various opportunities for exchanges of ideas and promotes research in the field of Chemical Engineering.
The IIChE-AJCE Students Chapter came into existence in February 2015 and has been an active Student Chapter under the IIChE Kochi Regional Centre.
The Chapter has been organizing invited lectures and seminars in industry-oriented topics with resource person from BPCL-KR, FACT and other process industries.
In March 2017, the IIChE-AJCE Students Chapter conducted the State Level Chemical Engineering Quiz “DRONA”. The Quizmaster was Mr. Harinath V, Senior Manager(Operations), BPCL-KR
In March 2018, IIChE AJCE Student Chapter members organized a quiz program in line with the theme “Waste Management and Sustainability” during the National Workshop on Improved Toilet Technologies for Better Sanitation, organized by the Dept. of Chemical Engineering, AJCE
The Chapter was presented with a Certificate of Annual Organizational Membership during the year 2017-2018 for its active involvement in the IIChE activities.
